If you happen to find arguments like simantism or legitimism persuasive, you may find yourself feeling that God exists when things are meaningful or really a certain way or the way they should be. That feeling may be the apprehension of a dry fact, perhaps something solid. To believe more in accordance with what the arguments show, it makes sense to find God himself speaking to you when those facts come up -- you are in the conversational presence of God, God being a person to you. Perhaps, in the conversational presence of someone, that is when a person is truly a person to you, even if they are silent.
